SMG Sportplatzmaschinenbau GmbH, a pioneer in machinery for synthetic sports surfaces since 1975, will present two professional solutions for artificial turf maintenance at SALTEX.

With decades of experience in synthetic sports surfaces and turf care, SMG has been at the forefront of innovations for installation, brushing and infill maintenance.

The TurfBoy TB1 Eco is a ride-on machine designed for decompacting and brushing artificial turf systems. Powered by a 13 kW (17.7 HP) air-cooled petrol engine, it features an adjustable row of tines with a working width of 1,100 mm for infill decompaction.

Triangular brushes lift for fibre brushing over a 2,000 mm working width, and a hitch allows a variety of attachments, including additional brushes, drag mats, magnet bars, and the BeltSpreader BS800.

The TurfCare TCA1400 is a ground-driven, tow-behind device for the cleaning and care of both infilled and unfilled artificial turf systems. Its wheel-driven design removes the need for hydraulic or power shaft connections, allowing it to be pulled by small tractors or quads.

The working depth can be precisely set via two adjusting spindles, while a vibrating screen offers adjustable settings from 4–10 mm depending on infill and debris. For narrow doorways, the transport rollers can fold out, and the tow bar can be raised. For road transport, the TCA1400 can optionally be fitted with a three-point hitch, easily switched from drawbar to hitch use.
