John was the executive chairman of the UK Amenity Forum for 13 years and is a well-known speaker and writer. John is now the owner of JMM Solutions – a consultancy supporting businesses and organisations – especially in the interpretation of policy matters, weed, pest and disease management and the implementation of sustainable plans and practices. John’s career has spanned the public, private and charitable sectors with 20 years at chief executive level. He also has extensive experience as both a trustee and board member and chair. Currently he is a trustee for Basis Registration. He has held a large number of national and regional roles and has considerable overseas experience and networks. He graduated First Class from Cambridge in 1971 and holds honorary Fellowships at both the University of Central Lancashire and Myerscough College.
