Niall MacPhee

After graduating in Sports Engineering Niall has been working in the sports surface and technology sector for 15 years, during which he has project managed the delivery of programmes during elite tournaments such as FIFA World Cup, World Rugby and European UEFA games – to high-volume community projects.

Understanding the player surface interaction and gaining valuable insights to improve the safety and performance of surfaces has been the bedrock of Niall’s work. His role as Associate Director in the Sports Labs Group requires him to oversee new business development and technological integration for test methods, to test equipment and to include sustainability and environmental considerations in all Sports Labs projects.
