Stuart Vause
Stuart is the sole grounds person charged with maintaining and managing Castleford Tigers RFLC 11-acre Wheldon Road site and has won four GMA Professional Rugby League Grounds Team of the Year awards since 2017.
He is also the club’s handyman for facility repairs, preparing and cleaning the stadium on match days and readying team kits, dressing rooms and the match officials’ area.
Last year the site was used at least 13 times each week with the OneBore stadium staging 132 games/events and the training field being used 242 times.
In addition to fixtures for Tigers’ seven teams (men, women and wheelchair), community events and RFL training camps, the club also hosted the Yorkshire versus Lancashire academy series and a training session for the Wales national team.
